ACTING WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS: AGES 18 AND OLDER
Have you been wondering what it takes to perform on stage, looking to start a professional career, or just curious about acting? Whether you are signing up to improve your technique, start your theatrical journey, or hone your professional skills for audition, this masterclass is the perfect place to start. Four, two hour, sessions will be available to choose from. Each session focuses in depth on a different aspect of stagecraft and performing arts. You can attend all four classes, or mix and match based on your availability and interests! This specially tailored curriculum will be taught by actress and director, Shannon Agnew.
The courses were designed to build cumulatively, and each week will offer a different selection of course study though the descriptions are similar. If you choose both weeks, your curriculum will change to build off the knowledge and skills you learned in week one. Choose both weeks, every session one week, or mix and match!

WEEK TWO
Session one: Friday March 2, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Script Analysis: This session we will explore how to mine for information in a script, and build a strong foundation on which you can create your character. Using provided text, Shannon will walk you through creating a “road map” of a script by looking at the story structure on the whole to decide the protagonist, antagonist, objective, conflict, rising action, climax, and resolution. See how changing each of these components can alter the structure or delivery of a scene.
