Millbrook Playhouse Offer new and expanded Theatre Education Programs for young actors.
The Millbrook Playhouse theater education program offers students a chance to explore their artistic abilities in all areas of the performing arts through workshops which include: Acting and Improvisation, Musical Theatre, and Creative Storytelling in a safe and fun environment. All programs culminate in a final public performance.
NEW IN 2018 – Pee-Wee’s Theatre camp – Ages: Pre-K – 1st Grade
The Pee Wee’s put together a “show” of their own creation and imagination. They will create the story by using theatre games, music and creative movement to bring the show to life. This is a great way for young people to develop confidence and self esteem, in a low-pressure environment. Parents, grandparents and caregivers are all invited to see the final results in an open class style presentation.
PERFECT FOR: Exploring theatre for the first time, non-readers, ages 4-7, introductory level learning, those looking for a shorter camp day.
AGES: Pre K – 1st Grade
WHEN: Monday, June 18 through Friday, June, 22
TIME: 9:00am – 12:00pm

OPEN CLASS PERFORMANCE: Friday, 22nd at 5pm (no fee for presentation)
The Littles Theatre Camp: – Ages: 2nd Grade – 4th Grade
Join us for an enchanting week where campers experience the magic of theater. During this week long adventure, campers will assist in the creation of an original play, specifically designed to showcase their unique personalities. Different activities will introduce the theatrical process and prepare campers to take the stage as the stars of their own story! This process based camp culminates in a performance where we invite families and friends to watch our week of make believe come to life!
PERFECT FOR: Campers with a k-3 reading level, an introductory theater experience, those looking for a shorter camp day, those looking for an exploratory process based camp.
AGES: 2nd Grade to 4th Grade
WHEN: Monday, July 9- Friday July, 13
TIME: 9:00am – 1:00pm. (Friday, July 13 day may be extended)
PERFORMANCES: Performance on Friday, July 13 at 5pm
FEE: $150.00 – $50.00 non-refundable deposit at time of registration
TICKETS: All tickets $5.

The Jr’s Theatre Camp:Ages: 5th Grade – 9th Grade
This camp incorporates basic acting skills including projection, diction, theater vocabulary, and performance techniques. It is perfect for kids of all levels, from beginners to those more advanced. The Jr.’s camp is perfect for all level of kids, whether they have previous experience or not.
Jr’s Camp will culminate in a performance of Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS. Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score,Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns. In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it’s up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O’Malley, and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day.
PERFECT FOR: Intermediate theater students looking to apply their skills in a rehearsal process, campers looking for a longer day, students with prior theater experience.

TIME: 9:00am – 4:00pm
PERFORMANCES: Friday, August 17 at 6pm and Saturday, August 18 at 11:00
FEE: $200.00 – $50.00 non-refundable deposit required at time of registration
TICKETS: Adults: $10.00 – Students: $7.00

The Teen Performing Arts Academy (TPAA)
TPAA was designed to enrich, inspire and enlighten young performers. Perfect for those who have a burning passion for the performing arts. The Teen Performing Arts Academy will offer a wide range of classes led by theatre professionals. Students will explore their talents as actors, singers, and dancers.
AGES: 10th Grade – 12th Grade *must be at least 13 yrs old and have been in previous MPH camps or have previous experience
WHEN: Monday, July 30 – Friday, August 3 (week one). Monday, August 6 – Saturday, August 10 (week two)
TIME: 9:00am – 3:00pm (no classes on 8/4 or 8/5)
FEE: $300.00 – $50.00 non-refundable deposit required at time of registration
PERFORMANCES: Saturday, August 11 at 12:00pm and 3:30pm
TICKETS: Adults: $10.00 – Students: $7.00
TUITION INCLUDES: 2 adults comps per camper. Scholarships are available
Millbrook Playhouse offers The Richard Guido Memorial Scholarship which provides financial assistance to the young actors in our camps.
